This workshop will focus on the proportion and constructive form of the head and features. We will discuss the ideal
proportions of the head, as well as ways of comparing the ideal to the actual in order to achieve "likeness". We will
explore various ways of constructing and simplifying the facial features, and study how artists of the past depicted them
in painting, drawing, and sculpture. We will also discuss facial musculature and its influence on expression.
Each session will include lecture, demonstration, and ample time working from life models and the skeleton. Will be limited to 10 students,
so register soon!
